I know there are questions which everybody always asks about the National Open University of Nigeria. Let see the question and its answer below.

DOES NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY  OF NIGERIA (NOUN) STUDENT ATTEND LECTURES?

This question is one of the major questions people ask,  and so many people believe that their student doesn’t attend lectures.

But I want to make it clear to you that NOUN lectures their students but they will lecture on a course if a minimum number of students registered on that course in a faculties, which is called“course facilitation.”  and “a facilitator is a lecturer”  and this facilitation (lectures) holds from Mondays to Saturdays till exam period before it closes. This depends on study centres.

HOW NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA (NOUN) WRITE THEIR EXAMINATIONS?

This is another question that is popular among people over the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), and many people say they write examination “online“.

But the truth is that there are so many conventional universities in Nigeria that write their examination on a computer base which is called E-Examination (Electronics examination).

National Open university writes E-Examination (Electronics Examination) and POP Examination (Pen On Paper Examination).

100level to 200level students write E-Examination (Electronics Examination)

300level and above write POP Examination (Pen On Paper Examination).

NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA (NOUN) RESULT GRADE/GRADING.

I know a lot of people has been asking about this. To be sincere with you, NOUN result grading is perfectly good and is the best.

let see them below,

  • From      100   to     70  is       A.
  • From      69     to     60   is      B.
  • From      59     to     50   is      C.
  • From      49     to     40   is      D.
  • From      39     to     30   is      E.
  • From      29     below…..is      F.

So NOUN total Examination Mark is 70 marks. For example, if you score 40 marks on your examination + your 30 marks TMA, this simply means that your total score is 70 which your grading is A.

So you add your TMA score to your examination score and determined your grading.

The secret is that make sure you do your TMA, don’t miss any of your TMA

HOW NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA (NOUN) SUBMIT THEIR ASSIGNMENT?

An assignment is generally known as Tutor mark Assignment (TMA) in NOUN. and they have 1st TMA, 2nd TMA and 3rd TMA, each of this TMA has its time to expire.

Each TMA lasts up to one month sometimes two months, Each TMA contains 10 marks × the three TMA’s that’s 30 marks, and also each TMA contains 10 question which is the 10 marks × the three TMA’s which is 60 questions.

DOES NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA STUDENT (NOUN) GO TO NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE CORPS (NYSC)?

The answer is YES,

Believe you me, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) does not sell textbooks rather they give it free to the students.
