The African richest man, Aliko Dangote shares the story on how he turned a loan from an uncle to a successful business on an interview with Aljazeera.
This interview took place at his Lagos State, where he shares all the stories.
You know, Africa is full of opportunities and I think what we did was to take the full opportunities that we met on ground and we have done quite a lot in various areas we started first.
After succeeding with trading now what we did was to go into manufacturing which is normally a very difficult area especially this part of the world because of lack of power but we have been able to resolve those issues and were able to succeed in most of what we are doing.
Well I came from a wealthy family and my great grandfather from my mother’s side Alhassan Dantata was actually very very wealthy and then his son whom really raised me up because I lost my dad at the age of 8, gave me a loan of which I was grateful and I paid back in three months because business was so good and I was able to establish my self from the trading to manufacturing and dering things like the refinery, the agricultural process that we are doing and also the fertilizer.
