Abia State Governor empowers affected Xenophobia attack returnees.

Several Nigerians were ordered to return home following the xenophobic attack in South Africa. More than 500 Nigerians were flown in two lots with the support of Air Peace’s free evacuation initiative.

In his speech, the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, declared to encourage those Abia’s returning from South Africa in Abia State. The Governor fulfilled his promise in compliance with the report obtained by source.

The repatriates are motivated by their desires and choice.  Some have chosen agriculture and began training at a Dr Nwagbos Kritzenly Farm Ltd, Ntigha.

Dr Ngozi Ogbonna-Erondu, Special Adviser to the Governor of the state of Diaspora and Special Duty at Abia, appreciated the assistance provided to the resettlement and reintegration of the South African returning Abia’s by the government of the Abia State.
