This is to inform the general public that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board popularly known as JAMB has opened the online portal for the checking of for 2016/2017 prospective students.

Jamb Admission Status

Following the cancellation of university PUME, it was made mandatory for all tertiary institutions in the country to compile the names of all successful candidates that reached the cut off mark for their institutions for admission into the 2016/2017 academic session.

This announcement was made by JAMB a few weeks ago through its Public Relations Officer; Dr. Fabian Benjamin announced that the portal has been opened for the checking of admission status for the 2016/2017 academic session.

All candidates who applied for the just concluded JAMB examination exercise are advised to check their Jamb admission status on the Jamb Status checking portal.

Some institutions have already started sending the names of successful candidates who they offered admission to JAMB, and JAMB has started uploading the names of these admitted candidates on the Jamb Admission Status checking portal.

How To Check Your JAMB Admission Status On The JAMB Portal

In order to check your Jamb admission status on Jamb admission status checking portal, follow the steps below:

  1. You can now access your Jamb admission status from JAMB portal by CLICKING HERE or by clicking on this link – http://jamb.org.ng/postregistrationefacility/CheckAdmissionRecommendationStatus.aspx?id=82903797-C2A2-44C3-B1D6-5EE46DCCDDFD
  2. Carefully enter your Jamb Registration Number in the space provided on the page that you’ll be automatically redirected to. Then click on ‘Check Where you Have Been Posted for Admission
  3. Once you click on the ‘Check Where you Have Been Posted for Admission’ button, your admission status will be displayed for you on your screen
  4. Candidates whose names appeared on Jamb admission status checking portal website should go ahead to print their admission letter
  5. Candidates who do not see their name should not lose hope but instead check back at a later time as the name might not have been submitted to the Jamb portal at that time
  6. It is also important that you confirm your name on the official portal of your school of choice whenever the names are released
